Simple Task System

Simple Task System is a free Notion template built on one idea: most task apps fail because everything lands in a single list. This one splits the day into four lanes on one page, so the three things that matter are never buried under the forty that do not.

The four lanes

• Top 3 — the three tasks the day is actually judged on, decided first
• Daily Hustle — everything else on today’s plate, deadlines included
• Health Weekly — workouts, meals and self-care, so they compete for attention instead of disappearing
• Side Hustle — the project outside your job, with its own tasks and deadlines

Archive and backlog

Two toggles sit under the lanes. Backlog holds tasks and ideas that are real but not today, so they leave the daily view without being lost. Archive takes what is finished, which keeps the workspace clean and leaves a record of what the week actually contained.

Linked database and calendar

The system is backed by a database you can link into other pages in your workspace, carrying assignee, priority, due date, status and platform on each task. A calendar view of the same data shows the week ahead by date rather than by list, so deadlines stop arriving as a surprise.
